This year Hornby have replaced their 4-car Eurostar set (R1013) with a
new 4-car set (R1071). The difference between the two seems to be a change of power unit
to the C990 and a new Trakmat (R8217) which measures 1.575m x 1.143m.
The Eurostar is somewhat different to the other models in the Hornby range in being an intercontinental subject. It will be interesting to see whether the development of high speed travel in Britain will increase interest in the model.
