Batches of BR Mk3 coaches which were announced in
the 2006 Graham Farish catalogue have now been made and the first examples of them have
arrived in the UK. The two samples the reviewer has received are a tourist standard open
(TS) in the new Midland Mainline livery (374-325A) and restaurant buffet (RFM) in Virgin
Trains red and black livery (374-500).
One of the great advantages in modelling coaches in 2mm scale is that a standard body mouldings can be used with slight alteration to the moulded roof. All window and door variation is in the printing applied to the sides of the clear plastic body. The printing on these is excellent and includes detail that was not possible in the past.
