This has been produced new this year as a 'starter' set with the small Trakmat measuring 1600mm x 1280mm. It contains the Barclay Class 06 0-4-0 diesel shunter in BR Corporate blue with the running number '06008'. There are four wagons with it which are the 8-plank end tipping wagon in the red livery of Adler & Allan (this time numbered '117'), former Airfix 5-plank wagon in the blue and red livery of Crook & Greenway 'No.5', former Airfix hopper wagon BR grey numbered 'B414087K' and standard BR brake van 'B952045' in brown. There is also a small oval of track (including a power straight), an R965 controller, a C990 wall transformer and leads. As with all Hornby train sets, there is an instruction book, consolidated catalogue, loco maintenance instructions, service dealers list and an invitation to joint the Hornby Collectors Club.
