Hornby's third attempt at modelling Pullman cars came to fruition in 2003 and they were heralded as the start of a new era in 00 model railway ready-to-run coaching stock. Five types of Pullman car were produced (only 2 types had been available with both the previous efforts). The current release is a Pullman 1st class parlour car named 'Leona'. The lamps on each table are lit with LEDs which take power from the track. Both matchboard and smooth plated versions of all five coach types have been produced and this is a smooth-sided one. The matchboard version of 'Leona' was released in 2003.
