The current Hornby Mk3 coaches first made their appearance in 1999
and set a new standard for coaches in the Hornby range. Since their introduction, they
have carried seven different liveries. The Virgin Trains red and black livery is the one
most used with 14 examples of it on the standard open coach and five on the open 1st. Both
these coaches have just been re-released in this livery, the standard as '42322' and coach
'F' (R4097D) and the open 1st as 11042 and coach 'H' (R4096E).
