'Emily' is one of the lesser known characters from the later Thomas & Friends videos and was presumably introduced by Christopher Awdry in one of his books. The Hornby model makes use of their tooling for the Dean Single and, although not in GWR livery, the finish has the general suggestion of the GWR. As with all of Hornby's 'Thomas' models, the face on the front of the locomotive is unique to this character. It has sunken eyes to suggest old age. The locomotive has the benefit of the updated mechanism produced for the reintroduction of 'Lord of the Isles' last year.
