In the late 1990s there was a need for more air-braked ballast/spoil wagons. The result was the PNA. They were built in 1998 by Marcroft Engineering for CAIB, the early ones (like the Bachmann model) making use of redundant Shell Monobloc tank underframes. They have a simple box body built onto the underframe which retained their original suspension details and buffers. The wagons were leased to Railtrack and the model is in the soft dark green livery used at the time. It has 'stencilled' data panels which carry the number 'CAIB-3619'. The model has plenty of printed detail.
