These short brake vans, with verandas both ends and no platform extension beyond, are based on a 20T ex-LNER Toad E. These were unfitted vans with a 10ft 6ins wheelbase chassis running on disc wheels. The model is without side and rear lamps and some of the handrails are missing. The torpedo vents on the roof are correctly placed although not prominent enough. There are rain strips above the four entry points. The duckets on the real vans were metal and the vans were built from 1929 onwards.
The samples received are E175613 in BR grey (33-805) and E178499 in red oxide as it would have been in 1949 (33-806).
