The book starts well with a cover picture taken from Lea Mount of an HST in First Great Western 'Barbie' livery, running along the seawall, and a Voyager, beyond, in the station. There are few more sensational railway settings, with an urban backdrop. The book contains a riot of colour provided by the rich array of liveries that have travelled the line since Privatisation in the mid '90s. There is also plenty of variety when it comes to traffic seen on the line and the number of diesel classes that have passed through.
