This book is most welcomed as it provides a history of Virgin Trains and an insight into the Virgin organisation. The book is packed with coloured photographs that look at every aspect of the subject and contains several useful appendices at the back. These include technical specifications for the Pendolino, Voyager and Super Voyager, route maps, lists of names carried by the trains in each class, key business facts and details and timings of the record-breaking run on 22 September 2006. The foreword is by none other than Sir Richard Branson and the Introduction is by Chris Green who was so closely associated with the development of Virgin Trains. We hope that this will develop into a series on TOCs.
